For our unit in Laxå, we are looking for a curious and structured Quality Technician who wants to work closely with the operations and make a real difference. The role is broad and operational with significant personal responsibility and suits you who thrive in the intersection of production, technology, and quality. You will be an important part of our quality work and collaborate closely with several functions in the organization.

In this role, you will work with quality throughout the value chain, from suppliers and purchasing to production and finished products. You will contribute to structure, follow-up, and improvement while supporting the organization in daily quality work. Reporting will be to the Purchasing Manager.

Your tasks

As a Quality Technician with us, you have a varied everyday life where you combine operational quality work with purchasing and improvement initiatives.

Examples of tasks:

• Conduct quality inspections, measurements, and follow-ups in production
• Analyze and document deviations and initiate corrective actions
• Work with root cause analysis and preventive quality work
• Document and report in our quality systems
• Participate in and drive improvement projects related to quality and processes
• Support the Purchasing Manager in purchasing work
• Support the Quality Manager in handling any customer complaints
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and technology to ensure quality throughout the value chain
• Report statistics according to our set KPI goals

You will be employed as a consultant at Consensus initially, but the position will most likely transition to a permanent employment at ESAB.

You have a technical education, preferably with a focus on production, quality, or similar, and have experience in quality work within industrial operations. You are used to taking personal responsibility and work in a structured manner, while being flexible and able to adapt when circumstances change.

As a person, you are analytical with good problem-solving skills and thrive in a role where you combine independent work with close collaboration with other functions. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

You are comfortable with administrative tasks and used to working in various systems where MS Office and M3 are of utmost importance. You possess knowledge of ISO standards, and experience with quality systems is considered an advantage.
